Franco began his career in the catering industry, working as a Food and Beverage Manager at some of Johannesburg’s finest restaurants. After facing long hours and a challenging lifestyle, he submitted his CV and was quickly hired by Santam in 2002, marking his entry into the insurance industry.

At Santam, Franco specialised in underwriting, policy screening, and quality control, earning a full NQF Level 4 qualification in Short-Term Insurance through Inseta.

He gained valuable claims experience by handling both personal and commercial claims.

In August 2008, he transitioned to a local insurance company as an in-house loss adjuster, focusing on investigations of burglaries, fires, and general peril losses.

Franco joined John Pearson and Associates (Pty) Ltd in October 2010, bringing extensive knowledge in the Motor Vehicle, Heavy Haulage, Marine as well as Goods in Transit sectors, particularly in crime-related matters.
