John Pearson served in the British South African Police, retiring as a commissioned officer in the Criminal Investigations Department. He completed a siege and hostage training course at the Middlemoor Police College in Exeter, UK.

After relocating to South Africa, John became an International Loss Adjuster, specialising in Diamond and Gold-related losses that required expert investigation.

He enhanced his credentials by conducting security surveys for various high-value facilities, working exclusively across Africa in the Gold and Diamond trade. John has also investigated significant burglary incidents, including bank heists, cash-in-transit robberies, and bullion thefts in several African countries.

Notably, he played a key role in assisting the South African Police Service during the 2001 and 2006 airport robberies at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport, where US$21 million in banknotes was stolen. His involvement contributed to substantial recoveries.

Specialising in crime-related work, John has extensive experience and connections throughout Africa. He is well-regarded in the Lloyd’s of London market and has provided security advice to major Platinum, Gold, and Diamond operations in Southern Africa.
